Privacy policy

This policy covers the YEARLAP mobile game (iPhone and iPad) and the yearlap.com website. The data controller is the developer of YEARLAP (Chocho Apps). For privacy matters, write to chochoapps@gmail.com.

The game

• No account. The game needs no sign-up or sign-in. Your progress (stars, coins, cars, paints, settings) is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers. Deleting the game or “Reset progress” in the settings removes it.
• No analytics. The game contains no analytics tools and no tracking of our own.
• Rewarded ads. You see an ad only when you choose to watch one (e.g. for double coins). Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may process your IP address, device information and — only with your consent — your advertising identifier. In the EEA and the UK we ask for consent first (Google’s consent form), and on iOS for permission to track (App Tracking Transparency). Without consent, ads are non-personalised. You can change your choice in the game’s settings (Privacy) and in iOS settings. Details: how Google uses information from partner apps.
• In-app purchases. Payments are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details — the game only receives a purchase confirmation to grant what you bought.

The website and the contact form

• The website is hosted by Netlify, which — like any server — keeps technical logs (e.g. IP address, browser) to deliver the site and keep it secure.
• The website uses no cookies and no analytics. Fonts are self-hosted.
• When you write to us through the form, we process the data you give (name, email, topic, message) only to reply (Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Messages are stored by Netlify’s form service and delivered to our mailbox. We delete them when no longer needed, at the latest after 24 months.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Write to us and we’ll reply within 30 days.

Children

We don’t knowingly collect children’s data. The game works without an account and ads are optional.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll publish the new version on this page with a new date.
